The Smoked Brown
ABV 6.0%
The Smoked Brown inspired by the era when malted barley was kilned over fire giving the beers of Britain a Smokey character. This modern tribute uses Rauch-malt fired over beechwood in Bamberg, Germany – home to Rauchbier. Aged on oak this complex brown ale is the perfect accompaniment for Strong Cheese and meats.
The Porter
ABV 6.7%
The Anspach & Hobday lead beer. The Porter is Rich, Dark & Roasted. This is the beer that got us where we are today. Brewed to the same recipe as the first time it was home-brewed in 2011. It won Silver at the International Beer Challenge 2013 as home-brew and then Gold in 2014 as commercial brew. A true beer of London! Cheers!
The Pale
ABV 4.4%
The Pale Ale. Light, bright & fruity. This pale uses a blend of hops balanced on a crisp light body. Our favourite blend is Citra, Mosaic & Simcoe. It’s a light beer but a big hitter on flavour.
The IPA
ABV 6.0%
The India Pale Ale is a hop hit. We use a variety of hops from Simcoe, Centennial & Columbus to Galaxy, Citra & Summit. Our IPAs seem to get better with each batch. Always resinous with a punchy aroma and bitterness. This brew epitomises what we believe an IPA should be: Full of hops, body and with a strength to match, it would have lasted the journey to India but even better have it cold in a glass at its freshest.
The Table Porter
ABV 2.8%
Best described as like an Iced Coffee (no coffee beans used), this interesting beer is a nod to the Table Beers of old London when water was more dangerous than beer. A David of the beer world, The Table Porter packs lots of flavour for its ABV and it also pours over vanilla ice-cream to create a tasty Porter Affogato.
The Stout Porter
ABV 8.5%
The big-brother of The Porter. The Stout Porter is a strong (stout) full flavoured, full bodied Porter. A complex interplay between dark fruits, chocolate, coffee & liquorice flavours all derived from our blend of Pale & Roasted malts carefully balanced with British East Kent Golding & American Cascade hops. A beer that goes very well with itself.
The Cream Ale
ABV 5.2%
The Cream Ale is a cross between a Pale and a lager. This american style is brewed with a small amount of corn which gives it a unique smooth character. We hop ours with the Japanese hop Sorachi Ace. The aromatics of this fantastic hop complement the smoothness of the cream ale: With hints of lemon and vanilla on the nose. We have loved this beer since the first time we brewed. And currently A&H is the only brewery in London to regularly brew a Cream Ale.
The Experimental
ABV 2.8%
Our Experimentallabel is the template for our latest experimental beers. These large bottle beers are for sharing and could range from our IPSaison below (a cross between an IPA and Saison) to our White Coffee Milk Stout. If any of our experiments are successful enough we might just add them to the core range.
